The Blue Food Centre Wieringen has officially opened its doors to visitors with the launch of the Blue Food Markthal, bringing fresh energy to the fishing harbor of Den Oever.
The new market hall is designed to connect fishermen, producers, and consumers in one place. Visitors can now buy fresh fish, shellfish, and regional products directly from the source while experiencing the authentic atmosphere of a working harbor.
The concept focuses on short supply chains, meaning products travel directly from boat or local producer to the customer. This not only ensures freshness but also supports local fishermen and regional businesses.
